For quite a while, SUVs break one sales record after another. A type of vehicle that does not seem to fit in our time at all. Compact, fuel-efficient cars are out of fashion. But why are SUVs so damn popular? Why in heaven’s name people all over the world are buying ever larger cars with ever stronger (and thirstier) engines, when many roads are already congested and parking is scarce? Finally: The federal government of Germany is being sued for its negligence in pursuing its self-imposed climate goals. Anyone living in Germany can apply for participation in the Greenpeace climate charge . In the application, however, you have to explain why you are “directly or even existentially impaired by the consequences of global heating” . Let’s Go On a Journey
I am an incredibly positive, optimistic person by nature. Nevertheless, I am more and more frustrated. I show a lack of understanding about what is going so wrong on our planet, especially with regard to the climate and the environment. I am shocked at the unbelievable stupidity of the human species, which rushes into its own ruin with a run-up and full speed. Nature, no thanks!?
