The Great Power of Goals
A few years ago, through bullet journaling, I came up with the idea of not focusing exclusively on appointments in my organizer, but much more on myself. In addition to a full-time job, family and studies, I somehow couldn’t manage the creative design of my appointment and life planner, so I finally looked around for a finished model that would meet my requirements. I found it two years ago.

How to Wash Ecologically and Inexpensively
Whenever I washed my laundry with normal organic detergent, I somehow had a bad feeling. These chemicals can’t really be good for the environment or health. Before buying the alternative soapnuts, I shied away because of the significantly higher price. In addition, their transport from India to Germany is anything but ecological. Do the laundry with chestnuts? Then I found out about regional alternatives: Even our ancestors had soap herb valued for its cleaning power. Surprisingly, they also contain ivy leaves washing-active secondary plant substances, so-called saponins. Unfortunately, both plants were not available to me. I was accordingly pleased when I learned that you can also wash with simple horse chestnuts.…

I Don’t Buy Anything!
That was the name of a book I read a few years ago. The author Nunu Kaller reports in this about her refusal to consume: A year without new clothes and styling accessories. Fortunately, I have no shopping problem at all when it comes to clothing, but – perhaps rather untypical for “cliché girls” – but with the purchase of new technical gadgets. I have now made myself clear about that more under control. The extensive sale of superfluous things does something to you. The more I deal with the topics of minimalism and frugalism, the easier it is for me to imagine doing the same as the author, albeit…

#ratherreadthansurf – Digital Minimalism vs. FoMO
I want to have more time. Time for me, for my daughter, my partner and for the beautiful things in life. I would like to read more, do sports, post more often on entsesselt and after Corona also do more with friends and relatives. And I want to finally finish my studies. The main thing is to work on my fear of missing out (FoMO). It would be great if the minimalism, which I am learning to appreciate more and more, could also be applied to the digital world. I don’t want to be constantly torn out of the flow by my smartphone or get distracted for several hours a day.

Lack of Time: Finally Regaining Time!
I need more time! For sure, you know the feeling too. In the morning you get up, eat something, get ready, do something quickly and then you go to work. In the evening you come home tired, make yourself something to eat and actually go straight to bed. At least that’s how I feel! I don’t even watch TV in the evening, otherwise I would know where the time has gone. Messenger services such as SMS / WhatsApp / Telegram / … delete everything that actively attracts your attention: delete!

House Dust Allergy – what now?
I’ve suffered from allergies for as long as I can remember. Contrary to what the headline suggests, I wasn’t diagnosed with a house dust allergy at the time, but one against small animal hair. For me, contact with manageable animals such as B. hamsters or guinea pigs, but also birds (or their feathers, including down) immediately on the lungs. Then, from one second to the next, I simply can’t breathe: asthma. As a first grader, I received this diagnosis from the doctor at the time. Immediately afterwards my hamsters were given away. We also had to move. The doctor said our coal stove wasn’t particularly good for my lung health…

#stayathome Becomes a “Driving Means”
#stayathome: Corona – how staying at home can drive yeast shelf empty, now what? The homemade raising agent Minimalism: Finally time to clean up When everything suddenly changes Suddenly everything changes. Suddenly things happen that you have never seen before or thought possible in this country. Our children are no longer allowed to go to school, we have to work from home – as far as possible – or are separated from our work colleagues by plexiglass panels. We avoid other people and have to think about how #stayathome can be reconciled with our weekend relationship. It is clear to us: This is really yowling at a high level, because…

No Poo – Hair Care without Shampoo
No Poo stands for No Shampoo. At the same time, however, it is a little play on words that should mean something like no shit. No Poo describes hair cleansing that does not use conventional shampoo, but natural alternatives.

Vegan Onion Meat Prepared Quickly
On our social media channels Instagram and Facebook we reported that we made vegan onion meat ourselves last week. We were then asked about the recipe, and of course we would like to share that with you. Its taste is really close to that of the meaty variant, according to Holger, who, as a still quite fresh vegetarian, can definitely judge it. 😉

Wild Trash? An App can Help
When Holger and I were plogging for the first time on New Year’s Eve, we reported on our interesting rubbish finds. The plan to bring the microwave discovered on a park bench to the recycling center promptly failed because of the time (we went to Lübeck on New Year’s Eve). In addition, the thing is not exactly easy to bring to the recycling yard without a car.
